The Mia Family started the business in 1937 in Booysens and was originally a general dealer, selling groceries. Through the years they added fishing tackle and by the end of 1969, Solly’s Anglers Corner became a fishing tackle specialist. By the late 70’s and early 80’s, Solly’s Anglers Corner expanded to the Lowveld where they opened a shop in Nelspruit, followed by Vereeniging, Pretoria, Fourways Crossing Shopping Centre with the latest store in Rustenburg .

Solly’s Anglers Corner cater for all facets of fishing with well stocked and dedicated departments for bass, carp, fly fishing, rock & surf and deep sea. Solly’s is also known for having a variety of hard and soft cover books, covering the different facets of angling, especially fly fishing.
